There has been a long period of hibernation and knitting nothing but socks. I am happy to finally have some new knitted objects to show off. (Socks in progress are plenty, but I am saving them for later.)

The first finished objects are a pair of fingerless gloves knitted in lambswool (Røros lammeullgarn). The pattern is an adaption of this famous pattern. The yarn I used was a lot finer than the yarn asked for in the pattern, so I had to go down several needle-sizes, adjust the stitch and row-count and ad more cables. I am so happy with the result. Unfortunately, this pair is for someone else, but I love them so much that I immediately started another pair.
The second finished object is not completely finished yet. It is a very simple triangular shawl knit top-down. What makes it interesting is the yarn used; unspun yarn from Evilla. This was my first experience with unspun yarn, hence the simple pattern. Even though it is very easy to break the yarn, it is very nice to work with and in my opinion knits up very nicely. The knitted fabric is very soft. I want to felt this shawl, but not to much. I have never intentionally felted anything before so I am a little scared that it might look like coming out of the washing machine. For now I am just contemplating and looking at my shawl which I actually think is quite pretty.
