All through the summer “Bithcin’ Mittens” have been on my mind. I love knitting mittens and I have made several in my time. I wanted my “Bitchin’ Mittens” to be special, very special, unlike any mittens I had made before. After finishing my Mountain Peaks shawl, i found some suitable yarn in my stash
and started knitting without either a plan or a pattern. For a while I really thought I was going to make it, but after finishing the first mitten
I just couldn’t bring myself to cast on for the second one. I am, however, quite pleased with the one mitten I have. The elephant really looks like an elephant, but I think the mouse and especially the flower are a bit funny looking. When and if I will make the second mitten I don’t know. I always forget to take notes and now it’s too late.
I think Eye Candy Friday is a very good idea. I have enjoyed looking at all the beautiful photos people have posted. Here is my contribution:
