The Mountain Peaks shawl is finished and I am amazed at how well it turned out. It is so soft and light and beautiful that I find it hard to believe that I actually made it. It is going to be perfect thing to wear to the wedding I am going to next week. I have found a dress and a nice pair of shoes to go with it, but they are not as spectacular as the shawl.

Pattern: Light Weight Mountain Peaks Shawl by Miriam.
Needle: 2,5 mm 80 cm circular
Yarn: Hand dyed Shetland cobweb yarn from Jamieson and Smith. I used a little more than 1,5 25 grams hanks.

I finished the tip of my Mountain Peaks Shawl. I have to admit that I was a little intimidated by the wrap and turn, but once I got started it wasn’t so difficult.

Love it!
My Mountain Peaks shawl was growing steadily until I reached the edge. First I had to learn how to do a cable cast on, which wasn’t difficult at all. The edge pattern didn’t look very difficult either, but while knitting the first repeat I kept making mistakes. I had to re-knit it at least four times to get everything right. When I was able to make three more repeats without any problems I thought that I wouldn’t run into more trouble. To my great despair I made more mistakes in the next repeat and had to redo several rows. I am really starting to fear the tip, I don’t think I have knit anything like it before.

I love the shawl and I think it is going to be great. I hope to get it done so that I can wear it at a wedding in the beginning of September. All I have to do is find a dress to go with it.
